The weather is warming up and we are all spending more time in our yards and giving our outdoor space a freshen up. A large part of this preparation is preparing for and starting to cook outside.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Your outdoor kitchen may not get as much traffic as your indoor kitchen, but it is important not to forget about performance, especially during start up at the beginning of the season. Your outdoor kitchen is exposed to the elements and is more susceptible to spiders and other insects frequently looking for shelter inside these appliances. A nest or other debris can block or divert gas flow through your grill. Their remains can also interfere with electrical circuits. Refrigerated units draw air into their mechanical compartments to cool off the condenser. This process may carry in leaves and block air flow. Lastly, mice love warm protected spaces. It is not uncommon to find a small community has taken up residence inside of any of these outdoor appliances. So, before you can really relax and enjoy the outdoors, a thorough inspection and cleaning to these appliances is critical.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Here are some great tips to for outdoor cleaning and preparing your outdoor kitchens for the season&#8230;<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1. Your Grill &#8211;  The Centerpiece Of Your Outdoor Kitchen<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Because the grill gets a lot of use it is important to prepare it for the grilling season. Scrub the grill grates with a special wire brush. Wipe off residue with soapy water and a cloth and then rinse. Check its other components, too, like the burners, valves, and hoses to be sure they are working properly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. Give The Stainless Steel A Little TLC<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>although stainless steel is a pretty durable material, it isn&#8217;t indestructible. When it comes to cleaning, wiping down with soapy water and rinsing thoroughly is your best bet for maintaining stainless steel surfaces. Use a special polish for removing smudges, fingerprints and stains.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3. Get Your Outdoor Refrigerators &amp; Ice Makers Ready for Cooling<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Your outdoor kitchen refrigerators have been in hibernation. They may have even been unplugged for the season. Plug in your fridge and give it some time to cool.
