Let’s be honest, you don’t really want to think about your dryer, you just want it to work, right?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here is some penny-wise advice given with love from your dryer…<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Do you overload it?<\/strong>\u00a0See below: The machine should be 1\/2 to 2\/3 full. Too many clothes can overwork the motor that turns the drum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Are the clothes you’re putting in too wet or heavy?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n
    \n
  1. Too wet coming out of the washer could be a sign that your washer is not spinning properly. Before you blame your dryer, let Appliance Master check your washer.
     <\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Exactly how many towels or pairs of jeans are you trying to cram in the machine? Personally, three to four is the max unless you have an oversize unit.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    What does the lint filter look like?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    1. Is it loose? That means lint is getting into the unit and near the hot spots that can cause a fire.
       <\/li>\n\n\n\n
    2. Is it rusty? That means the clothes are being put in much too wet for efficient drying.
       <\/li>\n\n\n\n
    3. Is it clogged? If you\u2019re not cleaning the lint filter EVERY LOAD, not only is the lint building up, but fabric softener residue could be coating the screen which reduces efficiency.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
