The Honest Truth About Your Dryer Part 2

Here are some penny-wise tips to help you get the most from your dryer.

1. Is your dryer warm to the touch?

If your dryer is warm to the touch, it’s worth scheduling an appointment to get it checked out. There are several possible causes, most of which can be affordably corrected.

2. Is your laundry room unusually warm?

If your laundry room is unusually warm, we recommend a dryer cent analysis and cleaning as a first step. Handling the smaller problem will cost less than waiting for it to become a larger one.

3. Is your dryer noisy?

If your dryer squeaks, rumbles or screeches, it should be checked ASAP to minimize damage. Checking right away could save you money on a repair and get your dryer back to its best.

4. Is there a smelling like something is burning?

A burning smell is a sure sign of a problem, but it could be minor, so get it checked out ASAP by scheduling an appointment. A few dollars spent now could save more dollars later.

5. Are your clothes getting chewed up?

Does your dryer chew up your clothes? The inside or outside of the drum might need attention and you can avoid the cost of replacing more clothing by scheduling a service appointment to determine the cause and make a repair.

6. Is your lint filter full?

Finally, look at your dryer’s lint filter. Keep it clean – EVERY LOAD!

Make sure it’s all the way in. Most lint filters snap in place. Is it worn or misshapen? Replacing the lint filter is cheaper than buying a new dryer.
